Ellen & Ryan’s Hacienda Sumaria Wedding

This wedding was one that we loved every minute of planning, meeting, designing, building, painting and creating for!  We encourage clients to think ‘outside the box’ and absolutely want to create from their vision something even better so that when they see things come alive, their mouths dropped.  These two did not disappoint!  From beginning to ‘day of’, these two were complete joys of inspiration, young love, commitment, friendship and FUN!  We hope to be lifelong friends even if it is through their ‘life events’…Anniversaries, Baby Showers, Birthday’s, and so many more.

When planning a wedding we are thrust into the clients’ hearts, lives, their discussions, thoughts and then asked to take all of that amazing insight and create a day they will cherish forever! As ominous as it sounds, Vision Events looks at these elements, like a gift, and a challenge, and we love to ‘make it happen’ in a big or small way!

Because weddings these days are experiences, we have learned that the guests need to be guided and led through what will be a progressive event.  This wedding was just that!  We took them to church! (Sacred Heart Catholic Church), then we led them from there to our venue hideaway that we consider a treasure in the Desert, Hacienda Sumaria!  This venue has become home to Vision Events!  We know every inch, and we use every inch of the grounds hidden in Rancho Mirage, California.  They could stop and gasp at the palm leaf frame with free floating lucite table charts, then laugh at some of the signage, and sandwich boards, as well as the marquis lit ‘fun signs’ designed by VE, but built by Feist Solutions!

This acrylic seating chart was a dream…

We had the guests shuttled (Lin Lines) from Church to our venue spot.  They were then guided along a windy path to their next event, the Cocktail Hour.  On their trek they were met with fun signage and amazing design details all reflecting the Bride and Groom and their vibe.  The Cocktail were poured, laughter and fun was had by all!  The next adventure was then to take them on a guided tour back to the Reception site where the trees were dripping with raindrop lights, the tables were a mixture of Planks and Patina hand-made tables and rounds by Signature Party Rentals and Vision Events Rentals.  Vision Events adorned the tables with a mixture of succulents, glass, mirror, and candles galore. The flowers chosen were huge white Casa Blanca’s, and orchids, and palm leaves, berries, all brought to life by the amazing Palm Springs Florist!  The Bridal bouquets and the bridesmaids bouquets were understated just like the bride wanted, but breathtaking at the same time.

Each place setting was a leaf with the guests name on it in hand-written in calligraphy, resting on a Palm leaf placemat.  Well, they are in Palm Springs, California and we wanted them to know that!   The overhead glow from the lights strung that day were just the right ‘mood setting’ for dancing and fun.  The stage was set and ready for a FUNK BAND!  Catering was the bomb!  We had an IN N OUT semi with soda fountain and open menu, then for those that wanted something different we had Giuseppe’s from Palm Springs with a full on Pizza Bar and Salad Bar!  That’s not it…the Bride and Groom wanted this to be a party to remember, so not only did we have a Full Bar, we had a BEER GARDEN customized just for them and we worked with BAR/Giuseppe’s catering for all of the liquids!

Our team designed, built, and orchestrated one of the most fun experiences for our clients that we have ever done…the Beer Garden & Photo Wall! Thanks so much to Todd @ Feist Solutions for being a Vision Events team player!    It was a hit!  Vision Events Rentals supplied them with hand-stained huge cable spool display tables, lighting, and an amazing photo backdrop designed the by the VE team and Stephanie Cardona Designs. She works closely with VE on every event and brings in all of the details with graphics, signage, and hand calligraphy!  One stop shop and with a source who really loves and cares for what she creates!

Wait, that’s not it…..after the pizza, burgers, and beer garden, last but not least we had a taste Bride and Groom only cake by Exquisite Desserts, and then we had a full on Italian Cookie Table baked especially for us by Frankie’s Italian Bakery, and, of course, we had hot and wonderful hand-made Donuts at our Donut Bar by our local favorite, Oh My Donut!  Yep, no one left without a smile on their face!

As the night dawned with a beautiful Desert sunset, the rolling greens came alive with our votive scroll designs that the guests could see from the very active dance floor.  There’s so much more we could say about this wedding, but that maybe will have to be stated on a second blog!

Sara + Andrew – Desert Willow Country Club Wedding

White, Black & Gold with a Touch of Red

Contemporary, Clean, Crisp, Young & Fresh…

These are all of the adjectives the Bride used when describing ‘her vision’ for her wedding day at Desert Willow Country Club in the greater Palm Springs area!

The Ceremony space was a beautiful scenic backdrop that begged to be framed! Vision Events framed nature’s art with a custom-built, architectural white wedding framework.  We adorned it with lacy greens, petite white roses, white Casa Blanca Lilies and white orchids at top right and lower left corners.  The mirrored columns we built were magical as they captured the scenery all around. The Vision Events mirrored columns were lit with votives for ambience and placed at either side of the Wedding Arch and at the entrance into the Ceremony.  Each column had a gorgeous floral arrangement of white Orchids, White Casa Blanca Lilies and large scaled Calla’s.  We can’t say enough about our floral source, Palm Springs Florist…they just rise to every occasion and give us the style and design we ask for! Gold satin ribbon adorned the ‘family reserved’ aisles with each seat receiving a printed ‘thank you’ and ceremony itinerary for the guests.

The Entrance to the Reception was where our beautiful 4-tier cake by “Nana D’s Cakery” was placed and lit from above; it was adorned with white polka dots on fondant, brushed gold accents, handmade rose petals and all the details our beautiful Bride asked for.  Top the cake off with the fun lucite, under-lit cake topper and voila! Again, in design euphoria we then placed our clear lucite sculpture table chart with design by Stephanie Cardona, and printing by Plan-it Print Works, on top of our Vision Events custom-built lit base and what you have here is not only an ‘awesome’ entrance into the reception for the guests to be guided to their seats, but you have what ended up being a photo op favorite!

lucite_table_chart

The Guest Reception tables were round and  were adorned with white sequin tablecloths to the floor, white and gold contemporary vase show  pieces filled with white calla’s, orchids and alstroemeria’s with gold glass votives. This Bride and Groom wanted style and attention to detail, and Vision Events went all out to give them just that!   Each guest table place setting was adorned with a black and white striped folded napkin under each gold charger, black satin napkins and custom gold lucite contemporary heart charms, then we added gold flatware and handmade menu’s, and seating cards.  We added Chivari gold chairs with black cushions and their ‘look’ came together!

black_white_gold_wedding

black_gold_wedding

The Bridal Table of 14 was a showstopper!  We had fun bringing this to life for sure!  We created clear, clean and crisp table tops made of lucite and held up by white rectangular bases.  The table was adorned with clusters of square glass containers holding lit candles and Calla lilies draped on the table from the Bridesmaids bouquets. Each place setting for the Bridal table was the gold charger, contemporary-patterned dinner and salad plate, black satin napkins with white agate and brushed gold napkin rings, special wine and water glasses and more.   All of the table numbers we framed in lucite, as well as the name cards were held in lucite holders to carry the contemporary theme into all of the details.

The Family Tables stood out as they were Rectangular, adorned with our white sequined cloths to the floor, and using the same theme from the Bridal table we used square glass containers in all different sizes, filled some with Casa Blanca Lilies and the rest with candles of all different sizes.  We custom draped the main wall from Entrance to Exit with our custom white panels and gold velvet column drapes to again complete the look.

Our bride’s bridal bouquet was a stunner, white huge phaleonopsis orchids, split leaf philodendrons, wrapped ti leaves and architecturally placed bear grass!  Truly a beautiful floral statement by Palm Springs Florist; we ask, they perform!  The bridesmaid’s bouquets were simple white calla’s wrapped with bear grass to continue our clean and architectural feel in their design.

palm_springs_florist_lily_bouquet

Where’s the red accent, you are probably asking….wait for it!  The ‘Pop of Red Accent’ that just sealed the evening with the color of love, red.  Our feature wall backdrop was covered in hand-made red paper roses, made by the bride, bridal party and family. It featured the beautiful reason everyone was there; our Bride and Groom’s names and the date.

Then, who doesn’t want a sparkler exit?  We had fun with this!

Blair & Mark – Indian Wells Country Club Wedding

Fairytales do come true!

It’s a great feeling when you are able to look back at the design and planning journey with a Bride & Groom and their families and feel so much happiness and fondness for the whole wedding day. Vision Events works so hard at trying to make sure that not only the clients vision is realized, but that we are able to enhance those expectations. With this bride, that came so easy.

Their ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Francis of Assisi Church in La Quinta.  The bride wore a gorgeous Disney designer gown, with her keepsake bouquet custom-made with purple calla’s, wrapped in satin ribbon and blessed with a family heirloom jewelry piece.

The Indian Wells Country Club was a great setting for an outdoor cocktail party that stretched the whole terrace with breathtaking views of the La Quinta mountains. All of the guests enjoyed the cocktail party with the backdrop of laughter and great conversation. Under lit cocktail tables adorned with beautiful plum and white rose petal table cloths, florals in square mercury containers, lit jeweled hurricane and mercury votives.  Once our Bride and Groom returned for their Grand Entrance, all guests were asked to view their seating assignments from the custom designed framed mirror seating chart, designed by our good friend at House of Designs.

Just like a fairytale, these two were meant to meet and quickly knew they were destined to live ‘happily ever after’!  With their story laying the groundwork for a dreamy event, we draped most of the Reception ballroom in chiffon white, with an accented focal point behind the Bride and Groom Sweetheart Table of draperies in Purple Velvet with Silver adornments.  We then created a table layout  for 200 guests of “X’s and O’s” with the X tables draped in gorgeous silver sequined cloths to the floor, and the O’s in luxurious purple floor length satin.

Silver candelabra’s with drop crystals were the centerpieces for each table with either taper lit candles or gorgeous florals of brightly colored hyrdrangeas, iris, roses and purple callayilies . With a touch of sparkle the table settings consisted of silver leaf chargers, purple stain napkins with crystal Swarovski-like napkins rings and each place setting had a coordinated menu that matched all of the paper goods from the gorgeous hand-made and designed invitations, table numbers, menu’s, etc.

To complete the look Vision Events decorated the four corners of the main area with gorgeous lacquered chandeliers adorned with vintage crystals.  The cake table over cloth was custom-made by VE’s talented team with magical under lighting.  The cake was a gorgeous four tier beauty from Jensen’s bakery with diamonds, rose petals in white butter cream and a custom silhouette cake topper picked by our Bride.  The table was dusted with purple, edible butterflies again tying in some of the Bride’s personality.  The cake stand was created by Vision Events team and set the foundation for such a beautiful table.

The photo backdrop designed by Vision Events, with the canvas storybook artwork done by Artistic Expressions encapsulated the theme of the wedding memorably.

Vision’s team didn’t stop there….they created a ‘lit’ heart glittered art piece placed in the recessed area to surprise the Bride and Groom as they were now officially “Mr” and “Mrs”!  It was a Wedding to be remembered!  The important pieces are the people and the moments and Vision Events creates the backdrop, the invitation and warmth, with a touch of personalization.

Lo 25th Anniversary Vow Renewal – La Quinta Resort

Simply special!

Maria and John wanted to renew their vows the right way! They did it! Maria and John wanted a party! They got one! They wanted everyone they loved to be there…and they all came!

It was a special night all about life’s great gifts: Love, Commitment, Family, Friends, and Celebration of what’s important in life! This was Vision Events first ‘25th Wedding Vow Renewal’ and we want to make this a habit.

2017-05-12_0031

2017-05-12_0002

The La Quinta Resort’s blending of charm, history and Desert elegance just added to this celebration!  Silver accents, crisp whites, and sharp blues set the stage for this 25th Wedding Vow Celebration! Vision Events had the dream clients on this one. They gave us their verbal wishes and let us go to town! We did! We embraced the surrounding Bougainvillea fuchsia pink of the grounds, and let that speak as we adorned the Cocktail area and the Reception with Silver sparkle, tasteful whites, and then accented it with cobalt blue accents. They let us use our ‘team sources’ to help them with all aspects of this event, not to mention all of the Paper Elements and Accents for the event from the Save the Dates/Invitation, to the place cards, menu cards & Mass booklet handouts. We even custom made all of the directional signs from the Lobby at the La Quinta Resort to the “La Casa” venue with classic framed signs which we created in partnership with House of Designs.  Thank you Stephanie Cardona of House of Designs!

Guests were greeted by our own Vision Events team at the Gift and Sign in Table. We wanted to create a different kind of sign-in piece and with all of their guests coming from all over the world we found a gorgeous metallic blue and silver globe for the guests to sign as a keepsake for the couple to have and cherish in their Library.  This couple’s wishes were that the gifts would be donations to their favorite charities which we thought was so amazing and loved watching unfold.  The table was adorned by a crystal candelabra which as the dusk turned to night was filled with beautiful and artful drips of wax that said loud and clear….this was a night to remember!

The ceremony on the lawn was a beautiful spot for this intimate and lovely Catholic renewal. Fr. Jack and Maria and John were embraced by a beautiful, custom-made iron arch made by Larry Rogers of Mr. Roger’s Auto Body, and then beautified with lovely white and green florals all hand designed and applied by Jordan Hall and his team of designers @ Palm Springs Florist with Vision Events vision in mind. Trusted florists are the only way to go!  Vision Events had three events across the valley on this day and we couldn’t be prouder of our teams who made all three events perfect!

Guests arrived and walked past the lit silver candelabra’s with orchid sprays to view the rose petal lined center aisle and be seated to take in the historic venue and all of its views, scenery, and classic Palm Springs vintage history.  Vision Events focused on the Ceremony and the details first, in working closely with our clients, the priest, and all of the ceremony needs to make this that much more important and special.  We adorned the Bride and Groom’s chairs with handmade blinged and satin blue back wraps for their chairs, and made sure that even the ‘Mother Mary’ wall font was lit with candles.

Now, onto the Cocktail Party, this was held in the historic ‘courtyard’, lit with market lights. The escort table was lit with beautiful crystal drop lamps, and adorned with loving pictures of our couple, their family, and special moments in their 25 years of marriage.  Silver sequined tablecloths adorned each table with contemporary classic white florals, cut crystal votives, and more. Then we added a vintage silver settee and lounge chair vignette area with accented pillows to coordinate with our theme.  This cocktail party was a happening event in itself, and when it was time to move to the reception all were pleased to know that the cocktail party was clearly the beginning of a wonderful evening of laughter, dancing, and tons of fun!

2017-05-12_0018

The Reception was set with 72” rounds covered in beautiful cobalt blue satin table cloths, blinged and mirrored centerpiece bases, gorgeous florals in mercury silver containers.  Each setting was graced with silver leaf chargers, Swarovski silver napkins rings to wrap the blue satin napkins and each guest was given a beautifully hand-made cookie from the talented Lisa Provenza-Bebar of Fine Art Cookies, that read “Thank you for sharing this moment with us”.  Each table had a pair of tall, crystal and silver candle holders and the table numbers were hand-made and designed by our team and framed in beautiful pearl and crystal frames. The cake by Exquisite Desserts was just a show stopper, and we adorned the table with a custom-made, Swarovski crystal ‘Love’ sign as well as we had a custom-made’ 25’ Swarovski Cake Topper made for them to keep as a keepsake. The live band set the stage for what was to come……fun!  There was a lot of ‘clinking going on’ for sure! Candelabra’s and white orchid sprays bookmarked the stage and set the stage for the entertainment. This couple had something to gift to their guests as they had secretly practiced a dance routine and then asked their children and talented friends to entertain as well.

Nichole & Tom Alcazar Palm Springs Wedding

Two become one!

These two are so ‘right’ for each other.  We were privileged to be invited to be a part of their wedding, and honored to partner with F10 catering and Alcazar to give them the perfect setting with a menu that can’t be beat. Then, bring in Palm Springs Florist, Signature Party Rentals, and our amazing design team, partnered with Arlene Young as our ‘day of’ coordinator and we had the ‘perfect fit’.

This couple embodied a bride with an ‘eye’ and gifted with her own sense of ‘design & vision’; a groom with an excitement and an involvement in his special day that others would only hope to have in their groom!  As event design and coordination go, they made it easy.  They trusted us to take their inspirations and ‘make it happen’.  We did!  Tasteful, sharp, yet personal!

Alcazar’s setting is always one of Desert Palm Springs style and serenity.  It lends itself to this overwhelming ‘comfortable’ sense of being home! Always, so accommodating and easy to work with. Palm Springs WeddingWorking with F10 Catering and Brittany Borchard is just a gift for Vision Events.  What a team we had to create a beautiful foundation and setting for this stylized wedding.

Now, bring in the fun stuff, the accents, the details, and the memory making decor and we are in heaven.  The Bride and Groom brought to the table everything they were!  Their love for travel, their love for tasteful design, and then asked us to blend that into a pattern of eased styling, personalization, and taste.

Lucite ghost chairs for all guests to be seated in for the ceremony were just the start of the well-designed day they were about to experience.  White rose petals dust the ceremony floral under the architectural trees at Alcazar.  Then note the hand-made string white spheres in the lit trees and you have ambience. The bouquets were gorgeous and adorned with crisp white florals, succulents and tight loose stemmed leaves that were perfect ‘floral jewelry’ for the gorgeous bridal party!  The friends and family were so happy for these two, but no one more happy (as seen in these pictures) than our beautiful Bride and her handsome Groom!

“N + T” greenery initials floated in the pool and as the sun went down the lit floating candles created a tasteful background accent to a beautiful reception!

Kobalt Blue glassware, crisp white accents, with a hint of silver create a palette that most are attracted too!  Palm Springs Florist was asked to bring in crisp white florals with loose greenery to enhance our own pewter hand molded containers, then garnish the long tables perfectly positioned around the iconic pool with lengths of garland and berries and you now have the definition of ‘lovely’.

We love what we do for sure!  We hope it shows!

Dean & Jessica’s Wedding at Hacienda Sumaria

Young, Fun, Bright and Beautiful, Palm Springs Wedding!

Those four words envelope these two, their venue and their wedding day!

The Venue, Hacienda Sumaria, is an expansive estate with rolling green hills, a beautiful huge lake, waterfalls, wandering paths, a picturesque stone clad staircase and huge walls of beautiful, bright pink bougainvillea’s!  Every where you turn there is a picture waiting to be taken with backdrops of the mountains, the green rolling hills and huge, beautiful, old trees. This property is a huge canvas just waiting to be dressed up, and that we did.

The Bride and Groom wanted hues of blush and grey’s accented by black, white and gold.  We were able to make that palette pop and with a blend a casual vibe with a formal flair!  We took gold sequin table cloths for the Bridal Table and partnered them with black floor drop table cloth and lovely our white rosette toppers for the guests tables.  The accents were a win-win from there! Wait, we can’t forget the “Flock of Flamingo’s”!  So much fun!

This special day embodied everything it should:  Love, Commitment, more Love, Fun, Laughter, Great Food, Freshly made doughnuts, photo opps, dancing, and all you can eat doughnuts!  (We thought it worth mentioning again).

The Bride and Groom were very involved and we were able to work closely with them, their families, and MOH to ensure that every detail was thought of and brought to life. That collaborative effort was truly showcased in all of the small, but amazing details such as signage, gifts, etc..

The florals were soft whites and tons of greenery and we carried that thread throughout every floral piece.  The beautiful vast landscape was lit with Edison strung lights which only added to the ‘feel and invitation for fun’!  The music had to stop at 10:00, but the party wasn’t over!  It was just one of those nights no one wanted to end!

Sarah & Jayrom at Rose Cottage

Sarah & Jayrom – Palm Springs Wedding

Young Love, sweet hearts, becoming one while being enveloped in authentic beauty.  The backdrop is an early 1900’s Rustic Estate called “The Rose Cottage” in Palm Springs,
California.  This venue was the perfect place for these two to embody and embrace their futures together in front of family and friends.  Hand laid Rock Walls, majestic mountain backdrops create the framework around this venue; then add lush gardens and lavish grass areas to this Rustic Romantic themed wedding, and you have ‘bliss’.  Vision Events was honored to be a part of this ‘day’ for these two.

2016-12-14_0001
We were on this journey with them for a year and half and were able to bring to fruition a day that embodied ‘their loves’: romantic florals in bright pinks, fuchsias, purples, violets, and lavenders, then we added cut crystal and charmed accents from the signage to the table numbers.  The linens were a metallic sheer in colors of ecru and foxtail lavender, Vision Events used mismatched white platings and wonderful Parisian glassware at each table setting.

Last, but not least, a hand built mesquite wood wedding arch adorned in gorgeous florals and greens was that finishing touch!

All of this was then enhanced with strung lights and tons of candle lit tables. The food was ‘delish’, but the S’more’s bar was a hit! This ‘lady and gentle man’ were a mix of old fashioned grace, charm, and flair.  The future looks dreamy, lovely, and bright for these two!  It’s always rewarding to see these productions come together like this!  Thankful and blessed to be able to be a part of these wonderful ‘moments’ in people’s lives!
